KEKOVA ISLAND AND THE SUNKEN CITY

Kekova Island has been home to Lycian, Roman and Byzantine civilizations since the 4th century BC.

The ancient city of Dolchiste was partially submerged after a powerful earthquake in the 2nd century AD.

Today it is known as the Sunken City.

This fascinating archaeological site lies beneath the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

As this area is a protected archaeological zone, swimming is not allowed. During our glass bottom boat tour you will be able to observe the ancient ruins under the sea and take unforgettable photos while sailing over the sunken city.

SAINT NICHOLAS CHURCH

Our next stop is Saint Nicholas Church located in Demre.

Saint Nicholas lived in Myra in the 4th century and became famous for his generosity and kindness.

Today he is known around the world as Santa Claus.

The church was built in 520 AD in his honor and now serves as the Santa Claus Museum.
